
Seargent Bergdahl has yet to return to his hometown, but the controversies and some truly nasty comments about him have captured the headlines. Regardless of whether Sgt. Bergdahl left his base for whatever reason, we must give this soldier who voluntarily joined the armed forces a chance to first recuperate from his traumatic five years captivity and opportunity to tell his side of stories.
It is ironic that some of the politicians who have never served in the military have the audacity to accuse Sgt. Bergdahl of treason, because he might have left his base on his own volition.
