Although only six candidates left on the Republican Party for presidency of the United States, but given the last debate and the barrage of accusations flying all over as well as name calling portrays an image of a party in chaos. At one point it seems that a fist fight might break up between Mr. Donald Trump and either former governor Jeb Bush and Senator Ted Cruz as Mr. Trump kept attacking them and vice-versa. The quality of the responses given by the candidates to the questions asked by the panel were extremely vague and basically unresponsive. It seems none of these candidates has any solid plan about economy, immigration, foreign policy, social issues. All kept saying if they become president they would make America great, better, stronger, etc., never mind how they would do it.
Mr. Trump to this date has not explained how he is going to make Mexico to pay for the wall that he wants to build between the USA and Mexico which is over 1,900 miles.
None of these candidate have mentioned after repealing Obama Care which all of them promise to dismantle immediately after taking over the office, what they are going to bring instead of that so to ensure all are insured and protected.
None of these candidates have come up with a plan about how to solve the immigration problem. All they state is that they will wither deport them such as Mr. Trump, or pass a law to make it work, never mind about details.
All of these candidates refer to making America either better, great, or strong again, as if the USA is not strong, nor great. All blame President Obama for economic problem, foreign issues, and domestic social issues. All have forgotten that in 2008 the US economy was on the verge of depression, unemployment was about 12%, stock market lost over 50% of its value to 6000 points, GDP growth was in negative, Financial institutions were on the verge of collapse, the auto industry were bankrupt, housing value was in the dumpster. Not to mention national debt was all time high and trade deficit was also at all-time high. Consume confidence was very low, US was involved in to prolong war without much result and success.
Now during this election, unemployment is below 5 percent which officially would be considered as full employment, stock market is at all-time high, GDP growth is in positive, real estate market has gained much of its losses, financial institutions are thriving and auto industry is making profit more than ever before and consumer confidence is much better that in 2008 or any time thereafter.
These candidates think that they are running against president Obama. They have forgotten that 2016 is the last year of presidency of Barack Obama and he is not running for another office at all. Given that these candidates do not have much to offer, it would be then easy for them to attack the man who is retiring from the Office. It is amazing that they keep referring to president Obama to almost every answer they give. What is more astonishing and perhaps disappointing is that the moderators do not correct them by reminding them that president Obama is not running for office again and to leave him out of their responses unless it really related to the questions asked.
Unfortunately, the one who had most sense among these candidates has already packed up his campaign and called it quits. That man was Senator Rand Paul.
