Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi was awarded Noble Peace Prize in 1991 while she was in prison for her fight for democracy and freedom for the people of Burma. She was admired by all freedom loving people around the world for her devotion to justice and freedom. She was eventually released from prison and the military dictatorship in Burma collapsed and now she is the de facto leader of the country.

There is a large Rohingyas Moslem minority group in this Buddhist dominated country who were living in some peace, however for more than a year the Rohigyas have been victim of systematic discrimination, torture, and deportation from their country. The military rulers are gathering and forcing the Rohingyas to leave the county who have become refugees in neighboring Bangladesh county which is having economic and social problem to help the vast group of these destitute people.
The military is in the process of kicking them out of the county engaged in raping the young girls and women and have made lives worse than hell for these innocent people.

The worst of all is that the Noble Peace Prize Winner, Ms. Suu Kyi is doing nothing about it and has even made comments to the effect such allegations are untrue. She has totally ignored the truth and has not done anything to curtail or help the people.

Undoubtedly the Rohingyas problem has become the largest exodus of people from one country to another in the modern history. Many leaders and politicians and organization have requested that the Nobel committee to rescind the was awarded to her, as Ms. Suu Kyi has acted recklessly and in contrast to the spirit and the meaning of the Nobel Peace Prize which is only awarded to the individuals or groups who diligently work for peace and justice throughout the world. One does not know and could not understand as to why the woman who spent years in prison for her dedication to justice and freedom for her people has become so cruel and heartless.
For a few years people of the world became content that Burma finally taking the path to democracy when the military ruling collapsed, but what Ms. Suu Kyi has done, seems to be worse than the era of military ruling. At least the military rulers did not hide or ignore their brutal ruling of the people.
It is clear that United Nation must take much more severe action to undo the crime against humanity that is being done in Burma. The Rohingyas have done nothing wrong to deserve this. They were kicked out of their country and leaving whatever they had behind, but only carrying clothes on their back with their children tagging along.

It is amazing that we the people allow this kind of mass cruelty and in-humanity occur in the 21st century.
